As many of you may already know, on September 20th, Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria, a Category 4 storm which left our brothers and sisters on the island in dire need and crisis.
To do my part, this weekend I am going to visit Costco in Brooklyn to purchase bulk items to drop-off at a TIDAL location which will then be transported by plane directly to the people on the island. It is a viable option that puts me at ease since I know that this company is working with organizations and individuals on the ground in Puerto Rico to ensure that the people receive the supplies immediately.
In proper collective fashion, I am inviting you to assist me with this endeavor by making a donation. 100% of the funds will go towards purchasing items such as water, baby diapers and baby food, feminine hygiene products, first aid kits, batteries, and more.
To be completely transparent with all donors, the address below will be my drop-off location:
Shirley A Chisholm State Office Building
55 Hanson Place
If for some reason, items at Costco are out of stock, I will purchase items on-line through Amazon. In this case, a final receipt confirmation will be e-mailed to all donors detailing the amount, items, and shipping info purchased with the funds.
